National Bike Week

Every Monday evening, a group of enthusiastic cyclists meet at the Kilkenny Castle Gate at 7pm, and under the guidance and stewardship of John Corcoran from Marble City Cyclers, the group of 20 to 30 riders head for an approx 1.5 hour spin.  The great thing about this cycle is that it caters for those who are very new to the sport and who are looking for a new activity, need to train for a charity cycle or hoping to complete a cycling challenge before the summer is out.

National Bike Week is from 13th to 20th June and Marble City Cyclers are inviting cyclists of all abilities to join us on our Monday evening spin on 14th June.  After the cycle, refreshments will be provided in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre in Loughboy to celebrate National Bike Week and gives people the opportunity to ask any questions they have about cycling and of course, give people the opportunity to join Marble City Cyclers.

Marble City Cyclers will also be making a presentation on the night to the winners and runner-ups of their inaugural Time Trial league, which was kindly sponsored by Pete and Andy in Kilkenny Cycles, Michael Street.  The Kilkenny Cycles TT league involved both flat and hilly routes in various locations around the county and the format allowed MCC members of all abilities an equal chance of winning.
